The Circle Inn Diner began 1952. It was built by Mert Galleher and became a part of the landscape and a mainstay of our small Gouverneur, Northern NY community. In 1985 The Circle Inn Diner was purchased by Carl (Fred) and Maryann Girard. Having lived the city life working for various restaurants including Howard Johnson's, Ground Rounds, they decided to move to the North Country to work and start a family. Fred, (a native of Gouverneur) happened upon a for sale sign in front of the Circle Inn Diner, and the rest is history. 23 years and 3 children later the Girard's continue to own and operate The Circle Inn Diner, R.V. Park and Chuck Wagon Concession Stands with their children C.J, Jenny, and Lizzy; along with a great staff. The Circle Inn is located at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in St. Lawrence County NY .
